At the second focus group with political party women candidates running for office in 2017 local elections, KDI, in cooperation with NGO Ec Ma Ndryshe and non-formal women group FEMaktiv, unveiled the drafts of the research and gender equality platforms that were designed as part of the project for ’United women for a gender friendly political, economic and social governance”.

Women from majority of political parties such as AAK, NISMA, Coalition Vakat, Alternativa, KDPT and NDS. were part of this activity.

Similar events will continue to be organized and are aimed at assisting women candidates, increasing their capacities and profile during electoral campaign. Paralel to this, a gender equality platform is disclosed in order to influence the promotion of local policies and decisions which are exclusive competency of the Municipality of Prizren.
