The suspicions presented by the media about the contract signed by the municipality of Prizren for the implementation of projects for the construction of mini-parks, supply and placement in public spaces of benches and bins for garbage and lighting in public spaces remain extremely worrying.

Media reports that prices which are diametrically different for almost similar products raise suspicions that this tender has been “embroidered” in time, remain the basis for further investigations by the judiciary. Prices for park seats ranging from 11 Euros to 995 Euros create space for reasonable suspicion that this procurement activity is manipulated.

Therefore, Kosova Democratic Institute demands that this contract signed by the municipality of Prizren be the object of investigation by the judiciary. Also, KDI calls on the mayor to increase internal control in order to manage public money as efficiently as possible.
