Today, KDI in cooperation with the Department for Research, Library and Archive (DRLA) is organizing a roundtable discussion with topic “Personal data and access to public documents”. Recently, the Government has approved the Draft Law on Protection of Personal Data and the Draft Law on Access to Public Documents, which have been processed by the Assembly for further discussion. Among the main changes which is waiting to be made, is the appointment of a Commissioner who will be responsible for the protection of personal data and access to public documents and information. Precisely, these changes are the subject of discussion of this roundtable that is being held with representatives of institutions, civil society and citizens. Also in this roundtable will be presented a parliamentary research that analyzed the legal changes and compared them with the good practices of the countries of the region and the EU
