In the jubilee year, 10 years from its establishment, Kosovo Democratic Institute has continued to support the development of democracy through being demanding and active in promoting transparency, accountability and institutional integrity towards citizens and promoting citizen participation in policy and decision making. KDI assessed the year 2015 as a challenging year for the country and has made continuous efforts to contribute in strengthening the civil society and maintaining the institutions as representative, accountable and transparent.

All findings KDI has made available to the citizens and the public, while its expertise and the advocacy activities were made through publications, analysis, debates, meeting, the monitoring of institutions and providing consultations for citizens. KDI has also been active in mobilizing and providing professional expertise and experience to the other Civil Society Organizations to guarantee more inclusive public and decision making policies.

This 10th anniversary jubilee marks KDI being part of the global movement for a better world. In January this year KDI, officially became the “Chapter” of “Transparency International”, while in February a member of the Election Monitoring Network of NGOs, ENEMO.

All these endeavors would not have been possible without the dedication of its staff and the support of citizens, donors and partners, to whom KDI is grateful.

KDI will continue to work persistently to fulfill its mission and vision for a democratic, accountable and free from corruption, guaranteeing the welfare, dignity and prosperity for its citizens.
