After the meeting that KDI organized with the residents of the village of Rashan in Mitrovica, one of the priority concerns of these residents was included in the implementation plan of the Directorate of Education in Mitrovica. This concerns the transport of 8 students attending the lower secondary primary school “Sefedin Smakolli”. The demand for their transportation comes as parents feel insecure and concerned about the dangers that children are facing along the way to school. Parents together with the village council chairman have formally submitted their application and the director of the Education Directorate has pledged that from January 2019, transportation will be provided for these 8 students.

Priority has also been given to the change of electric poles for which the villagers indicated are very damaged and pose a risk to the life of the citizens. At the meeting organized by KDI, the Director of the Public Services had asked the residents to photograph these poles, to be sent to him and then he would ask KEDS to intervene. After the residents did so, almost all of the damaged electrical pillars of the village have been replaced.
