Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) through this reaction expresses its concern about the use of the denigrating language, especially in these two last days, at the plenary session of the Kosovo Assembly.
It is an unacceptable that the Assembly MP’s to offend each other and to use misogynic language. The Kosovo Assembly as the highest institution of the state, should serve as a place where the values of the democracy, the human rights and the gender equality should be promoted, rather than turning into an arena where clashes and insults are normal.
KDI appeals on all MP’s to end up the use of the non – parliamentary language and to refrain themselves from the persistent insults, while urging to take immediate actions against MPs who use non-parliamentary language.
The Kosovo Assembly should not return into the arena of personal problems using mutual charges and denigrating discourse, which is in conflict with the constitutional obligations of the elected.
The discussions in the Assembly should be oriented to address the issues with economic, social and politic interest for the citizens of the country.
