Women political candidates running for office in 2017 local elections in the municipality of Prizren, are being introduced to essential qualitative research methods such as “face-to-face” interviews.

Officials from labor and social welfare department in the municipality of Prizren have been interviewed on the number of women beneficiaries of municipal programs for professional advancement and for policies and support that this institution provides to single or self-sustained mothers.

This research is being developed by KDI in cooperation with women political candidates and aims at introducing concrete socio-economic policies which will contribute to a better political and socio-economic environment for women in the municipality.

Women political candidates are taking part in interviews and research activities in order to be more prepared to initiate projects in the near future. They are expected to run for office in 2017 local elections with concrete policies on socio-economic issues that are largely based on research and are expected to be finalized in days to come.
