The recent changes in bylaws that regulate public procurement entered into force in 16 April 2018. The new legislation amendments say that the annual procurement plan shall be public.

Thus far, these plans were not accessible for the public.

Kosova Democratic Institute requests from all contracting authorities to publish their annual procurement plan for 2018 in their official municipality webpage, as soon as possible.

Publishing the annual procurement plan will contribute in:

• Raising transparency in public expenses
• Raising the healthy competition and giving chance to businesses to better plan and offer.
• Raising accountability by making easier to do the comparative analysis on projects that were planned, how much were they finished and what went unplanned.
• Lowering the corruption level by minimising chances of giving the extra information and adjusting the prices from the public institutions with certain economic operators.
