Equipped with concrete policies and practical communication skills with citizens, women candidates for Assembly members in Prizren have been in motion to meet different interest groups and to reveal their political platforms. During the local election campaign they visited various business shops as well as small businesses of single mothers, where they had the opportunity to be informed directly of the problems and conditions under which they run these businesses. During the conversation women candidates unfolded to them concrete policies that empower and support women in business, decision-making, employment etc as well as While pledging that during their mandate they will be a powerful voice of women.
Such activities make few examples where a woman candidate communicates directly with voters and interest groups and seeks their vote based on a concrete political offer. The project “United Women for a Better Political, Economic and Social Governance and Environment” is supported by the Olof Palme International Center.
