23.06.2017

Gender equality, the very low number and lack of women's participation in decision-making in public and private institutions, public and social security, health, employment and women in businesses were issues raised during today's workshop organized by KDI in Prizren.

Participants identified these socio-economic issues and debated on their impact on the overall wellbeing of women in our society, as well as the importance of implementing policies that improve the issues raised.

The workshop was also attended by members of the Assembly of Kosovo, members of the Municipal Assembly of Prizren, business and civil society representatives, students from the University of Prizren as well as young people from political parties' youth forums.

This workshop was organized under the project “United women toward a more favourable political, economical and social governance and environment” funded by the Olof Palme International Center (OPIC).
