In observance of the International Day of Parliamentarism, KDI initiated discussions today with decision-makers and other stakeholders on issues of public interest, including institutional integrity, transparency, and accountability.

The first discussion, involving MPs Driton Hyseni, Ferat Shala, and Doarsa Kica Xhelili, focused on parliamentary life and parliamentary investigations as a mechanism for executive oversight.

During the discussion, KDI presented the findings of a discussion paper that analyzes the functioning and challenges of parliamentary investigations so far, and offers recommendations based on practices from other countries to advance this function.
