Now when the election campaign has entered the final week, KDI organized separate meetings with candidates for mayor of Prizren from the LDK, AAK, NISMA and AKR. A general outcome of these meetings was their commitment to promote issues related to women representation in decision-making, support women in business and single mothers. These priorities have been drawn from reserach that KDI has implemented in partnership with Ec MA Ndryshe and FEMaktiv and are considered vital to ensure inclusiveness, gender equality and development. Some of the candidates were grateful, as research has served them as a guide to get acquainted with the position of women in the municipality and to be aware of the mechanisms through which challenges can be mitigated and resolved.

The event was held under the project ” United women for a gender friendly political, economic ans social governance” and was supported by Olof Palme International Center.
