Kosova Democratic Institute (KDI), chapter of Transparency International in Kosovo and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) in Kosovo, launched the campaign “#hanhankorrupsioni” where citizens throughout photos are encouraged to present the effects of corruption. This campaign aims to increase citizen awareness on the harmful effects of corruption in their daily lives and to promote civic activism in support to the fight against corruption, which symbolically is commemorated on December 9th.
The participation in this contest is rather simple: just upload photos that capture the devastating consequences and effects of corruption (i.e. lack of public investments, lack of public maintenance, politician’s luxury properties etc. at www.hanhankorrupsioni.com. Share the same photo in social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #hanhankorrupsioni hashtag and you will automatically become part of competition that will award the first place with 500 Euros, the second place with 300 Euros and third place with 100 Euros
All posted photos will be evaluated by a professional jury, whereas the 20 best photos will be unveiled at the exhibition that is organized on December 9 on behalf of the International Day against Corruption. Following the exhibition, the photos will be distributed to local and foreign institutions as an emotional and personal symbolic of citizens who face the negative effects of corruption in their daily lives.
The photo competition is open until December 7, 2016 to all citizens and is organized by the Anti-Corruption project of UNDP and Kosova Democratic Institute.
