Plator Avdiu joined Kosova Democratic Institute (KDI) in 2023 as Project Manager of the EU-funded regional project “Integrity Watch in the Western Balkans and Turkey: civil society combating corruption with political integrity data” led by KDI. He is extensively experienced in the civil society sector, while from 2014 to 2023 he worked as Senior Researcher / Project Coordinator at the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS). He is author and co-author of several publications and research analysis on security and defense topics. Furthermore, Avdiu’s professional experience implies also involvement as Consultant/Country Assessor of Transparency International Defence & Security Programme for the Government Defence Integrity Index 2020 for Kosovo.
He graduated in June 2014 at the University of Latvia in Riga holding Social Sciences Master’s Degree in European Studies as a holder of a two-year scholarship by the JoinEU-SEE III/Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Partnerships programme of the European Commission. Since 2008 he has a Bachelor degree from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Prishtina in Political Science.
