KDI held a training session today with the officials responsible for whistleblowing in the Kosovo Police, sharing best practices for handling whistleblowing cases. Recognizing the Kosovo Police’s role in exposing and combating corruption, KDI is assisting this institution in promoting whistleblowing as a tool for fighting corruption and workplace abuses.

Among all public institutions, the Kosovo Police has a highly advanced internal whistleblowing system. However, the participants noted that the number of whistleblowing cases in the Kosovo Police remains low. To address this, KDI provided police officers with informational materials and posters, which will be displayed in the eight regional directorates of the Kosovo Police to inform officers and citizens about the importance and methods of reporting in the public interest.
