With the purpose of identifying issues of interests for the minority communities in the municipality of Prizren and identifying issues related to their rights, the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has organized the first meeting with members of the Bosnian community in the Municipality of Prizren.
The members of this community, inter alia, pointed out the significant problems faced in the field of environment protection in Zhupa and Podgora, issues of general infrastructure, waste management in their villages (Upper and Lower Lubinja), and the non-adherence of the Law on the Use of Language by the Municipality of Prizren, lack of opportunities for the youth, migration of youngsters to western countries, student’s problems in the University of Prizren, etc.
This activity was undertaken in the light of the project “Së bashku mundemi”, supported by the Czech Embassy, whose main objective is to protect and respect the communities’ rights of information and inclusion in decision-making processes at municipal level.
