A delegation of British MPs currently in Kosovo, paid a visit today to Kosova Democratic Institute.  British Group Inter Parliamentary Union was informed by KDI reps on the programs, advocacy and impact of its activities and of civil society in improving policy making in the country, increasing transparency, accountability and guaranteeing of good governance by the institutions. The delegation was also briefed on project achievements that were implemented by the KDI, and financially supported through brit taxpayers which relate to transparency in public procurement and capacity building of new voters concerning accountability of their elected representatives. MPs expressed their interest on the role of civil society in electoral process, fight against corruption and participation in decision-making.
