Members of the Committee for Complaints and Appeals of the Bavarian State Parliament visited today the Democratic Institute of Kosovo (KDI) to look closely at the work of KDI in relation to democratization and parliamentary practices, election monitoring, the fight against corruption, the process of Dialogue and projects related to young people.
The representatives of KDI explained before the Bavarian delegation the engagement of civil society in Kosovo for the development of democracy, the impact on increasing the transparency, responsibility and accountability of government institutions and the Assembly in order to improve the efficiency of these institutions.
Bavarian MPs highly praised the work of KDI and the engagement of civil society in general in Kosovo in democratizing the country. They expressed interest in knowing more about KDI's engagement through five programs with particular emphasis on youth-related projects.
Also, the delegation of Bavarian Parliament expressed their readiness to share experiences and to cooperate in further strengthening the civil society sector in Kosovo.
