Even when you can eventually find a job, realization and protection of employee rights in Kosovo remains a major challenge. Lack of organization of the employees and unwillingness of institutions to guarantee basic employee rights remain the main reasons of denial the rights of employees, both in public and private sector.

Young people, as promoters of changes in society can play a huge role in changing the current approach in the protection of employee rights. For this purpose, KDI in association with SHL-Kosova on 24^th of October in Rahovec conducted a workshop with young people of vocational schools that could potentially enter the labor market.

 

The workshop was aimed at providing basic information to participants with regards to trade unions, forms of syndical mobilization, the importance of joining trade unions and the possibilities of mobilization of trade union organizations in the protections of legal rights and economic and social interests.
