KDI expects today's parliamentary session of the Assembly, which envisages ratification of the agreement on demarcation of the border with Montenegro to develop in a spirit of open and constructive debate while respecting the facts presented and different political views.
Regardless of outcome, the agreement on demarcation of the borderline with Montenegro should not be further delayed, but should be subject to the voting process to make way for unlocking the political and institutional life.
Parliamentarians as elected representatives of the citizens, today more than other people have the responsibility to make decisions on matters which have passed through the major social polarization, and their vote based on their own volition and not be influenced by pressure or blackmail.
Decisions arising from votes of MPs, whatever they are, must be acceptable to all institutions, political parties and citizens.
On the other hand, the protests as a civic right should take place in a calm and peaceful way, without prejudice to the rights of other citizens and without prejudice to the state institutions, and government authorities must guarantee the expression of this right, and create conditions to protest
