Kosova Democratic Institute (KDI) calls upon the State Prosecutor to undertake all legal actions to investigate and find other evidence regarding cases that are mentioned on the wiretapped conversations, and when evidence is sufficient take those responsible to answer before the law.
In the newly published wiretapping files by Online Magazine Insajderi, senior state officials are heard making deals on many issues, from simple ones to those that can be considered intrusions in the integrity of justice or violation of independence of independent institutions. The wiretaps discuss employing party affiliated persons in state institutions and attempts to bypass recruitment procedures.
The negligence of prosecutors to further investigate these powerful people remains a problem. Following the publication of these materials, local prosecutors have not reacted against those involved. Fragments of leaked conversations show clearly that there are elements of criminal offenses conducted by these state officials.
Kosova Democratic Institute as a chapter of Transparency International believes in a Kosovo where the government, business and civil society and everyday life are free from corruption.
