KDI/DiA has held meetings with representatives of political parties within the #CdoVoteVlene project, with the aim to get information on their stances and preferences regarding specific elements of electoral reform.
For a period of two months, seven meetings were held with representatives of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Vetevendosje Movement, Democratic League of Kosovo, and Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Social Democratic Initiative, New Kosovo Alliance and Alternative.
During these meetings, it was discussed on issues related to electoral zones, electoral lists, electoral threshold, gender quotas, manner of electing the president, guaranteed seats for communities, preferential vote, out-of-Kosovo voting and conditional voting, political finance audit and ballot design. Their stances were reflected in an infographic that has been shared with the public.
Furthermore, new ballots for central and local level elections have been designed within this project in order to minimize chances for ambiguity or errors by voters during the voting process, which would therefore result in decreased number of invalid ballots.
