Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has organized a meeting with residents of the Reçan and Planjane villages of the Municipality of Prizren. The purpose of the meeting was to identify the issues as a priority of the residents of this locality and address the priorities to the competent institutions.
Residents of the Reçan village have requested the completion of works in the sports hall and its functioning as soon as possible, the initiation of the regulation of Prizren-Brezovica highway which represents a permanent risk in the winter season and rainfall time from large landslides, the treatment of sewage of this locality which is poured directly into Lumbardh, the increase of the number of doctors and the functionalization of the Family Medicine Centre in this village (currently there is only one doctor and only one shift and this does not cover the needs of residents of this locality and villages around).
Also, residents of the Planjane village requested the construction of a sports hall in this locality and more electric sub-stations due to problems with the provision of electricity according to standards and the functionalization of a part of public lighting that is currently not functional. Residents of the two locations requested the construction of the “bus stop” station in the “Ralin” neighborhood of Prizren as well as the placement of announcements of the bus lines for the Zhupa region.
One of the key requirements of residents of this locality remains the functionalization of the fire station in the Reçan village, a facility which is owned by the municipality but remains non-functional.
