Kosovo Democratic Institute has started with Youth Policy Workshops as a continuation of Accountability Workshops. Tens of young people from all over Kosovo will become part of debates and practical discussion about policy making and contributing to the identification, prioritization and delivery of solutions for problems they face at a local level.
Around 30 young people from Prishtina were part of the first workshop that was held in this municipality and for two days they managed to prioritize number of problems that affect their daily life, starting from hygiene problems and lack of equipment in schools, lack of voluntary and practical work for young people and the lack of medical checkups in schools.
Regarding these problems, they have identified solutions that are expected to be presented to potential candidates for the upcoming municipal elections.
Along with the young people who were part of the Accountability Workshop, young entrepreneurs and innovators in the field of technology, young people who work voluntarily and are active in politics have joined this workshop.
Workshops will be organized in 6 other centers in Kosovo.
These workshops are held in the framework of the project “Empowering young voters to make decisions by being informed and helping them to keep accountable politicians” supported by the British Embassy in Pristina.
