KDI representatives have received commitment for cooperation from four other municipality mayors in regards to the implementation of the project Increase accountability of local government institutions in Kosovo, supported by the British Embassy in Prishtina.

KDI had four separate meetings with the mayor of Mitrovica Mr.Agim Bahtiri, mayor of Klina Mr. Zenun Elezaj, mayor or Malishev Mr. Ragip Begaj and with the mayor of Drenas Mr. Ramiz Lladrovci.

The importance of municipal accountability, the incentive for citizen participation in decionmaking processes and the inclusion of their requests in the municipal policies were discussed during these meetings. The mayors extended their willingness for cooperation in advancing these issues throughout the implementation of this poject
