Workers’ death in the workplace is alarming in Kosovo, since only within 2018, 23 workers have died in the workplace. There are many problems that workers face in workplaces, ranging from health insurance, labor contracts, lack of workplace safety etc.

These were some of the issues discussed in this roundtable, part of which were members of the Assembly of Kosovo: Besa Baftiu and Bekim Haxhiu, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Çerkin Dukolli, Basri Ibrahimi Chief Inspector of Labor Inspectorate and members of civil society.

In this roundtable was presented a parliamentary research of KDI that has analyzed the legal changes and compared them with the good practices of the countries of the region and the EU.
