Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), organized a roundtable with decision-making stakeholders of the Municipality of Prizren, whereby revealing recommendations from the social policies analysis at the local level. This roundtable was attended by the Mayor, Chair of Assembly, Members of Assembly and Executive, representatives of civil society and media.

Decision-makers and other stakeholders agreed to initiate amendments of current policies in view of increasing transparency and involvement of other relevant stakeholders in planning and implementing social policies by the Municipality of Prizren, with an emphasis on amendment of the municipal regulation on allocation of subsidies and policies in the category of social housing.

Efficiency and effectivenes in the provision of public social services depends on the establishment of operational mechanisms by the local self-government bodies. Objectives of municipalities cannot be achieved without internal procedures and criteria in each public policies initiative.
