KDI representatives have participated in the Forum on Domestic Election Observation in Transition Countries of Europe and Central Asia, which took place in Brussels under the auspices of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO), in cooperation with the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) and Supporting Democracy (SD).
The purpose of this forum was to focus on key issues that undermine the democratic transition in transition countries as well as challenges and opportunities for organizations observing the election.
This forum was carried out in four sessions related to the importance of election observation and funding challenges, challenges for election observers, advocacy for electoral reform and the role of observer citizens as well as recommendations for the EU.
