KDI CONDEMNS THE LANGUAGE AND NON-PARLIAMENTARY BEHAVIOR OF MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AGAINST THE SPEAKER OF THE ASSEMBLY

Feedback 13.07.2020

Kosova Democratic Institute condemns the completely non-parliamentary language and behavior used by the deputies during the discussions regarding the draft law for budget review, during tonight’s session. KDI estimates that with their behavior and actions, the deputies have prevented the Speaker of the Assembly from exercising her functions, defined by the Rules of Procedure, causing the interruption of the proceedings of the session.

The Rules of Procedure give authority to the Speaker of the Assembly to take care of the progress of the session and to warn the deputies who do not respect the rules and use non-parliamentary language and behavior.

KDI demands that against the deputies who obstructed the proceedings and the progress of the session, as well as did not respect the authority of the Speaker of the Assembly, disciplinary measures be taken in accordance with the Regulation, so that such situations are avoided in the future.
